The theme of 2021 WUPENiCity International Competition on Students Course Works of Urban Design is "Intelligent JiaYuan of Future", which requires contestants to analyze the connotation of the theme from a unique and novel perspective to carry out urban design with comprehensive and systematic professional quality.

How to Participate
Requirements
1. Qualification requirements for contestants-
(1) After all members registering on WUPEN, the team leader can go to the competition page to sign up.
(2) The contestants are suggested to be bachelors, master and doctor current students from Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, Service Design, Industrial Design and other related major. The qualification for this competition has no restriction on nationality or major. We encourage cross-disciplinary students to participate in this competition;。Teams can also be formed across schools or grades.
You need to upload a photo of your student ID card to prove that you are a student, and you will be disqualified if it is found that your work does not meet the requirements after examination.
2. Number of contestants requirements
(1)Each team can only submit one competition plan, and the number of team members should not exceed 2 (including the team leader) and the number of tutors should not exceed 3. Each contestant can only sign one work (whether as a leader or a member), and each account can only fill in one registration form. Contestants can sign up for other competitions on WUPEN at the same time.
(2)There is no restriction on the number of the same school and works directed by the same teacher.
3. Qualification requirements for work
Students are encouraged to combine the competition plan with the formal planning and design course homework of their school this academic year, and the creation of independent topics is also supported.
Design Specification
Special attention: The entries shall not contain the contents and tips that disclose the contestants and their schools, and the entry qualification will be cancelled directly if its qualification examination is not compliant..
1. Land scale
Not more than 1km².
2. Base selection
(1) Self-selected base.
(2) Official recommended bases: Shanghai Jiading New Area, Shanghai Maqiao AI Innovation Pilot Zone, Shanghai Jinqiao Area, Taizhou Industrial 4.0 First Built Area; From the above bases, choose the scope not more than 1km ² as the design base; Please check the relevant notice for details.The base data provided by the Organizing Committee mainly define the base scope and basic design requirements, so the base scope, base background and some design requirements are provided, and other data such as CAD documents and photos are not provided, if necessary, the team is encouraged to obtain relevant data through multiple channels. The officially recommended bases are not a designated base, but only a site selection proposal and does not affect the final score.
3. Design requirements
(1) Stick to the theme, clear conception, ingenious conception, standardized expression, creative thinking and methods, thinking from the perspective of urban space and lifestyle organization under the background of intelligent technology development are encouraged;
(2) Self-determined forms and methods of expression.
4. Work document and format requirements
(1) Display panel file: JPG format, no more than four sheets, and the picture frame is set to A1 (84.1 × 59. 4cm). (The drawing accuracy shall be guaranteed, and the resolution shall not be lower than 300dpi, no edges and no frames) The total size shall not be larger than 50M, and the file shall be named as "Entry Code-1, Entry Code-2, Entry Code-3 and Entry Code-4".
(2) Cover file: One cover picture should be uploaded separately, JPG format, the picture frame of 16: 9. The cover document will be used as the cover displayed on the website of the shortlisted works, and it is suggested to take into account its design and aesthetics. Only the title of the work is allowed to appear in the cover text, and the document is named after "Entry Code-Cover File".
(3) Introduction to the work: 100-500 words of design instruction, which will be displayed as introduction to the work. Please fill in directly on the Registration Form page.
5. Language requirements
Chinese and English are acceptable.
Entry Process
1.This competition adopts the integrated online form of "Registration-Sign-up-Submission" to collect works, and contestants can go to the website page and select the corresponding competition to sign up after registering the user account on WUPEN.
2.After entering the form, fill in the required items, click Save to complete the registration and obtain the "Entry Code"
3.From the start of the competition to the deadline for submission of works, contestants can edit and modify the form information, upload works at any time, or click "Cancel Registration" on the homepage of the competition to give up the competition. Once you click Submit and Confirm, no form information can be changed any more, only registration cancellation to re-register is allowed.
4.Please note when the application form is finally submitted that the exhibition of work and the award certificate will be sorted according to the order in which the team members fill in the form at the time of application.
