The Symposium on the Protection and Inheritance of Cultural Heritage was held in Beijing on December 19, 2023. Cai Qi, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee , attended the Symposium and delivered a speech. It is necessary to focus on building a protection system, promoting the systematic protection of cultural heritage, and building a large-scale protection pattern. Efforts should be made to improve protection institutions, promote the reform of the cultural heritage protection system, and form a joint work force. Efforts should be made to improve the protection mechanism, preserve the original historical appearance, and strengthen the overall protection and living inheritance of famous historical and cultural cities, neighborhoods, villages and towns.
