The report of the Nineteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China （CPC） put forward the national strategy of  rural revitalization , which reflects the importance that the State attaches to rural development. Currently in China, the rural revitalization strategy is actively promoted in various regions,  also as part of the project of  poverty alleviation. In the context of implementing the rural revitalization strategy, rural planning plays an important role,  to promote a better development of villages, in particular through rural landscape planning to make villages more characteristic in a scientific and rational way.

Based on the research and practice of rural development in eastern Fujian, the book discusses how to plan and practice rural revitalization from the perspectives of rural planning. It is composed of three parts, i.e. the planning prospect of rural revitalization, the planning application of pastoral complexes, and the planning practice of rural tourism areas. It discusses rural  planning in the background of rural revitalization and rural revitalization in the perspective of planning, aiming at integrating the knowledge of multiple disciplines to provide a reference for those engaged in rural revitalization and rural planning courses.
