Machine learning (ML) is a branch of artificial intelligence that focuses on creating systems capable of learning and improving from experience without explicit programming. ML algorithms process large amounts of data to identify patterns, make predictions, and automate decision-making. Encompassing three types of learning, i.e., supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning, ML powers applications like recommendation systems, fraud detection, natural language processing, image recognition, and autonomous vehicles.
