Un-licensed Taxi

Un-licensed taxi refers to the for-profit cars without legal operating qualification. In certain areas of Chinese cities, especially in the newly developed areas and where there is a high travel demand, the illegal phenomenon of un-licensed taxi is very popular, because of the insufficient development of public transportation which could not satisfy the travel demand of the society, for example the problem of “last 1 kilometer.” The un-licensed taxi has no security guarantee to the passengers and has affected the profits of regular taxi, which leads to its banning.
