​Housing Fund

The housing fund system is an important housing security system in China. Every Danwei and staff is obligated to deposit the housing fund which is stored in the special account belonging to the individual. According to the Regulation on Management of Housing Fund, which was promulgated in 1999 and revised in 2002, the Danwei mentioned above includes state organs, state-owned enterprises, collective-owned enterprises in cities and towns, foreign-investment enterprises, private enterprises in cities and towns, as well as other enterprises, institutions, private non-enterprise units, and social groups in cities and towns.
