Danwei-Owned Housing

The so-called danwei-owned housing refers to the houses built by work units, i.e., the so-called danwei, on the lands which are owned by the work units, and sold or released at a relatively low price to the staff of the work units, for the purpose of solving the housing difficulties. In many cases, it is taken as a kind of social housing which can enjoy certain preferential policies of the localities.
