National Assessment Committee on Higher Education of Urban and Rural Planning in China

Authorized by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the committee takes charge of the educational assessment on higher education of urban and rural planning in China. Generally there are 19 or 21 committee members, including 3 officers from the Ministry of Education as well as the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, 8 – 9 urban and rural planning education specialists, and 8 – 9 senior urban planner (engineers). Up to May 2015, there had been 42 higher education institutions with the specialty of urban and rural planning passed the assessment.
