Home-Based Elderly Care

Home-based elderly care is one of China’s policies on elderly care services that has been implemented since the 11th Five-Year Plan. It refers to the spectrum of in-home and community-based socialized services that support the elderly living at home to deal with their difficulties in daily life. The services cover the areas of daily care, medical care, mental care, and legal affairs, which are provided by professionals at either the elderly’s home or the community day care center.
