Barrier-Free Environment Design

2023-07-31

In a general sense, a barrier-free environment refers to an ideal environment that is accessible and unobstructed for the disabled in terms of physical environment, information, and communication. Physically, the barrier-free environment design aims to promote and serve the physical and mental health of the disabled in environment shaping according to their psychological and special needs. Series of barrier-free environment design schemes have been put forward in China to improve the accessibility of the physical environment, in particular regarding the construction of urban roads, bridges, buildings, and so on, to facilitate the use of disabled people.
