National Governance

In 2019, the Fourth Plenary Session of the 19^th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) proposed to “transform institutional strength into effective governance,”which closely linked the national institutional system with its implementation effectiveness and further emphasized the“modernization of national governance system and capacity.” The “national governance system” refers to the institutional system of a country and the “national governance capacity” refers to the execution ability of this system. They are now a hot topic in the fields of political research, public administration, and urban studies.
