Age Friendly City

Age friendly city refers to an urban environment designed to support and enhance the quality of life for older adults. This concept, promoted by the World Health Organization (WHO), emphasizes creating communities that facilitate active aging through accessible and inclusive public spaces, transportation, housing, social participation, respect and social inclusion, civic participation and employment, communication and information, and community support and health services. Age-friendly cities aim to ensure that the physical and social environments contribute to the well-being, independence, and active engagement of older adults in urban life.
