Building Carbon Reduction

2024-08-01 | nature

Building carbon reduction refers to the implementation of a series of energy-saving and emission-reducing technologies and strategies to lower the carbon emissions of buildings throughout their lifecycle, including the production of building materials, construction, operation, and maintenance. These measures include improving building energy efficiency, applying renewable energy, optimizing building energy management systems, retrofitting old buildings for energy savings, and promoting green building standards. By these means, significant reductions in energy consumption and carbon emissions of buildings can be achieved, contributing to carbon neutrality goals and climate change mitigation.
