Landscape Equity

2024-07-09 | Science Direct

Against the backdrop of global environmental deterioration and a rapidly growing population, pristine nature has become a scarce spatial resource. The layout of nature reserves is related to the ecological well-being of every citizen, and spatial justice is a necessary condition for a reasonable layout. Landscape equity refers to the fair distribution of environmental benefits and environmental burdens, including the fair distribution of public environmental resources and the fairness of decision-making on environmental systems by different classes. Landscape equity combines ecological environment and democratic equality issues with landscape design, using landscape intervention to improve the current situation of unfair distribution of social resources and build a community space with good social adaptability.
