2021-11-24 | National Bureau of Statistics of China

Raf Tuts, Director of Global Solutions Division of UN-Habitat

Raf Tuts, Director of Global Solutions Division of UN-Habitat, delivered a speech via video. He believed that cities bear the brunt of the impact from climate changes. In response to climate changes, people need to take practical actions to protect our cities, towns and communities, and further alleviate and ameliorate the climate crisis. We should seize the opportunities brought about by the recovery from COVID-19 and reconsider urban life, so as to create a healthier and better environment for people to live and work. The purpose of the World Cities Day is to promote cooperation in tackling challenges and finding solutions between countries and cities through this vital international exchange platform, which is conducive to find a way out for global sustainable urbanization.
