A ship docked at Yantai Port in Shandong Province, is loading engineering machinery and equipment.
The reporter learned from Yantai Port, Shandong Province on Jul. 25 that the port's China-Africa two-way logistics golden channel has recently added a new route to help "Made in China" go overseas.
The ship "Lagrange" and the ship "Caribbean Spirit" loaded with engineering machinery have recently been sent from Yantai Port to Tanzania in East Africa and Nigeria in West Africa, further developing the network of general cargo routes to Africa.
The ship "Lagrange" and the ship "Caribbean Spirit" were loaded with 26,000 m3 and 16,000 m3 of engineering machinery and equipment respectively. Under the close cooperation of Yantai customs and other port departments, they comprehensively adopted facilitation measures such as "Ship-Side Direct Pickup, Direct Loading Upon Arrival" to improve the efficiency of customs clearance efficiency.
It is reported that Yantai Port has made great efforts to build a large logistics channel between China and Africa in recent years. It has not only built a whole logistics chain of bauxite from Africa to domestic end users, but also precisely meets the needs of local projects in Africa, and transports engineering machinery, equipment, materials, etc. for Africa.
Yantai Port is one of the 15 ports of coastal cities under the national Belt and Road Initiative. The port has constantly promoted the brand of “China-Africa Maritime Express” and become a new growth point of the Belt and Road.
