On October 20, a symposium on the "Academic Forum on High-Quality Development of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)" was held in Beijing. The theme of the symposium is "High-quality Development of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) in the New Era", hosted by the Institute of Geographical Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. More than 50 experts and scholars from government departments, research institutes, universities and enterprises discussed the cooperation experience and development path of the Belt and Road Initiative and called on all parties to further strengthen regional and national studies on the BRI.
On October 20, the symposium of the "Academic Forum on High-Quality Development of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)" was held.
This year marks the first year of the second "Golden decade" of the BRI. Attending guests expressed that scholars should carry out more in-depth, more extensive, higher quality field investigations and scientific research when conducting the regional and national studies on the BRI. Meanwhile, it is also expected that relevant funding institutions can provide more financial support for the research work in various fields of the BRI.
It is reported that the "Academic Forum on High-Quality Development of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)" was jointly initiated by 16 research institutes, think tanks and enterprises including the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Silk Road Planning Research Center of CPPCC National Committee, and the Alliance of National and International Science Organizations for the Belt and Road Regions (ANSO) in early 2022.
