UPSC Nominated as 4-Star Society and Awarded the Title of “2021 Openness, Cooperation, Branding Societies”

On July 26, 2021, the World Forum on the Development and Governance for Science and Technology Societies was held in Beijing on the 23rd Annual Conference of China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), on which the Global Science and Technology Society Research Report "Evaluation of World-class Science and Technology Society (2021) -Opportunities and Challenges" (hereinafter referred to as Society Evaluation Report) was issued and a number of "Openness, Cooperation, Branding Societies " was awarded.

UPSC listed among the 4-star societies

The Society Evaluation Report is a research achievement supported by CAST which conducted a comprehensive assessment on 1,100 societies in 38 major countries around the world and rated 50 5-Star societies and 150 4-Star societies. The evaluation highlighted four dimensions, i.e. organization, cohesion, influence and leadership, through specific indicators about membership, revenue, publications, and  social medias. Among the awarded societies, UPSC is one of the two interdisciplinary societies which were rated as 4-Star Society, thanks to its supportive role in decision-making and great concern on social care. 

UPSC awarded the title of “2021 Openness, Cooperation, Branding Societies” 

Together with other 29 scientific and technological societies,  UPSC was awarded the title of "2021 Openness, Cooperation, Branding Societies", in recognition of its outstanding achievements in actively promoting international governance in the field of planning, condensing international consensus on openness, trust and cooperation, and promoting trust and cooperation between planning societies. In recent years, CAST has actively supported the international development of its national societies and encouraged deepening mutual trust, exchange and cooperation with international peers.
