The State Council Information Office released a white paper titled "The Belt and Road Initiative: A Key Pillar of the Global Community of Shared Future" on Wednesday.

The white paper said that in March 2013, President Xi Jinping put forward the concept of building a community of human destiny; in September and October, he successively proposed to build the "Silk Road Economic Belt" and "21^st Century Maritime Silk Road". The "One Belt, One Road" initiative creatively inherits and carries forward the ancient Silk Road, the historical and civilizational development of mankind, and gives it a new spirit of the times and humanistic connotations, providing a practical platform for building a community of human destiny.

The white paper points out that over the past 10 years, under the joint efforts of all parties, the construction of "One Belt, One Road" has evolved from a Chinese initiative to international practice, transformed from an idea to an action, from a vision to a reality, and from a "large-scale layout" to a "brush painting" of meticulous work. from a "broad strokes painting" to a "brush painting" of meticulous cultivation.
