"The quality of the ecological environment is the base color of park city. In the process of promoting carbon neutrality, we are shifting from reliance on energy resources to reliance on energy technology, which provides new ideas and driving forces for Chengdu to build the park city." On April 26, 2023, Mr. He Kebin, the academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor at Tsinghua University, said that since the 13th Five-Year Plan, the win-win situation has been reached in Chengdu's economic development and air quality improvement.

On April 26, the 3rd Park City Forum and the 6th International High-level Forum on Sustainable Urban Development were held in Tianfu New Area, Sichuan Province. The themes were "Urban Practice of Implementing New Development Concepts" and "Green and Low-carbon Leading Urban Transformation Development" respectively, aiming to fully demonstrate the concept and practice of park city development. It will contribute more innovative, sound and feasible exploration to the sustainable development of world cities, open new chapters for the construction of Sustainable Cities Alliance of One Belt and One Road in the future, and further promote the Chinese style modernization development model.

Mr. Yang Baojun, Chief Economist of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and President of Urban Planning Society of China, pointed out that Chengdu took the first batch of urban renewal pilot as an opportunity to actively explore effective promotion models and mechanisms, and formed a number of replicable and scalable experiences, which have been promoted across the country. “In recent years, Chengdu has improved its urban ecology and living environment, and enhanced its attractiveness, carrying capacity and sustainable development.” Yang Baojun said.

At the forum, experts and scholars delivered keynote speeches through live lectures and video. They focused on park city and sustainable urban development, exchanged concepts and new models of green and low-carbon urban development, shared practices and innovative experiences of green and low-carbon urban transformation at home and abroad, and discussed best practice paths for sustainable urban development.

Mr. Gao Guoli, Director of China Center for Urban Development, delivered a keynote speech entitled "Strategic Review of Chengdu's Development as the Park City Demonstration Zone Adapting to Chinese Modernization". “The park city practicing the new development concept is an all-round optimization and improvement of the planning and construction, development concept and governance of the traditional city, which created a green, safe, circular and efficient urban operation system.” In his speech, Gao pointed out that the development of park city should fully conform to people's yearning for a better life, so the logical starting point and ultimate destination of the park city are reflected in the selection of spatial layout, social governance, environment creation, ecological construction and related supporting industries.

Ms. Liu Xiaoliu, executive deputy mayor of Chengdu, introduced Chengdu's experience in green and low-carbon development, released the 2022 Report on the Construction and Development of Park City Demonstration Zone and shared Chengdu’s experience in the development of park city. The awarding ceremony of the Livable Cities Special Working Group of the Belt and Road Sustainable Cities Alliance was also held at the forum, marking the official establishment of the working group. Focusing on the proposition of sustainable urban development, this forum released several important reports and research results, such as the Vision of Future City Consultants, the Case Study of Low-carbon City Development Model, and the Park City Index 2022, presenting valuable experience in promoting sustainable urban development.
